The money for these grants was raised during their first ever Eagles for Education virtual fundraiser event in October of last year, which included the first ever online silent auction and 12-hour pledge drive. This fundraising event raised almost $40,000 for teacher grants and senior scholarships.

During the 2019-2020 school year, the PISD Education Foundation was able to award $30,950 in scholarships to 40 deserving PHS seniors and $16,166.90 in Innovative Teaching Grants for PISD teachers and campuses.
