Pleasanton coach trying to track down school recordsFree Access

Pleasanton boys track coach Seth Rutland is seeking the public’s help in figuring out school records.

Rutland, who has been with Pleasanton ISD since 2004, said the district does not have any of the high school boys track records. He took over as head track coach seven years ago but has never had marks to use as a baseline for any potential record times or distances.

Around the time the new gym was built, Rutland said, the boys school records were lost and never recovered. School records for girls track were eventually found.

Despite having “searched the world over,” Rutland has been unable to find any records.

The Pleasanton Express was unable to locate a comprehensive list of school records for track.

Anyone with information regarding boys track school records is asked to contact Rutland or PISD athletic secretary Yvette Hotchkin by email at srutland@pisd.us or ymhotchkin@pisd.us. They can also call the athletic office at 830-569-1235.
