Jourdanton Baseball

The Indians will be facing the George West Longhorns in a best of three series in Floresville. The first game will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10. The second game starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 with the third (if necessary) 30 minutes later.

Pleasanton Baseball

The Eagles begin their playoff round and will meet the Needville Blue Jays this Friday and Saturday, May 10-11 in Cuero. Friday’s game starts at 7:30 p.m. On Satuday, Game 2 will begin at 3 p.m. If Game 3 is necessary, it will follow 30 minutes later.

State Medalist Golfer

As you can tell by the front page and the coverage in sports, Pleasanton High School has its first UIL State Champ in athletics. James Sandoval (I hear they call him “Tiger”) placed first last week in Austin. Congratulations!

ACTing up

Don’t miss the Southern comedy being presented by ACT Theatre. Jane Stewart says that the cast can hardly get through rehearsals because they are laughing so much! The Red Velvet Cake War will be presented May 10-11, 17-18 at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on May 12 and 19. The theater is located just before the All Saint’s Episcopal Church on Hwy. 97 West.

Pleasanton Chamber Social
