Softball teams advance
Congratulations to our softball teams who are advancing to the playoffs! The Lady Eagles will face Sealy this Friday at 7 p.m. in Cuero. The Jourdanton Squaws next game will be against Santa Gertrudis Academy. Time and location will be announced at a later date.
May is upon us
That means that Kidfish is here! The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring the event on May 4 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Bring your kids! It also means that St. Andrew Catholic Church picnic is happening as well. Lots of barbeque goodness and the huge auction will be available on Sunday, May 5. Let’s not forget dear, sweet mother. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12.

The Pleasanton High School golf booster club will host a “Tee It Up” raffle with the drawing at Kadobe’s Bar & Grill in Pleasanton. Tickets are $5 each, or three for $10. There are numerous prizes to be given away. Please stop by the Pleasanton Country Club or contact Ken Arnold at 210- 273-2854.
Cowboy Fellowship will be having their Heritage Days 10th Anniversary Celebration on May 3-5. There will be Bull Riding, Youth Rodeo and Mutton Bustin’. Also, there is going to be a BBQ Brisket Cook-Off with a community wide pie contest. Look for more details on pg 14C.
