The Pleasanton High School Classes of 1990 and 1991 are planning a joint 30- year reunion on Saturday, Oct. 2. Since the PHS Class of 1990 was unable to have a reunion last year, the classes just decided to join forces for one gathering.
The Homecoming football game will be Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. Both classes will walk the field together at halftime, since the classes ending in ‘0 didn’t get to walk the new turf field last year.
The reunion will be Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Lions Building, just south of Pleasanton. They will gather in the afternoon (exact time TBD, probably around 3 or 4 p.m.) BYOB with a barbecue meal to be served around 5 or 5:30 p.m. Members of the classes and guests can visit as long as they like.
Later that night there will be a concert by the 86’D band made up of members of the Class of 1986, at the Ultimate 80s Throwback Party at the Park. The concert will be held at the River Park in Pleasanton. This will be a free event and BYOB.
At this concert there will be a truck raffle and a beach golf cart raffle that will benefit the Larry Brown Memorial Scholarship and PHS special needs students. This event is not being planned by PHS ‘90 and ‘91 classes, but is a joint effort by several local groups.
Event organizers are asking members of both classes to make donations of whatever amount you are able to donate. After the reunion expenses are paid, the leftover money will be split between the two classes to be held for the next reunion or for a scholarship, whatever each class decides. Some or all of the Class of ‘91’s leftover money will go to the Lisa Higginbotham St. John Scholarship.
Classmates are asked to respond to this survey so planners can get a head count for the meal:
