86’d is returning to Pleasanton this time as headliners for the 54th Cowboy Homecoming held at the Pleasanton River Park, September 13 and 14. 86’d played in September 2018 to a crowd of more than 1,000 for a fundraiser for the Larry Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund. The event raised more than $25,000 primarily from a raffle drawing for an F150 King Ranch Truck.
PHS alumni lead by Mark Carroll, Shiloh Development, Houston and John Mayse, JM Connected, Pleasanton are once again organizing a raffle to help raise funds for the Larry Brown Memorial Scholarship. The vehicle donated for this year’s raffle is a 2012 Tahoe. Raffle tickets are $10 each. The drawing will be held during the 86’d concert which begins at 11 p.m. at the Pleasanton River Park. Prior to 86’d there will be live musical performances by Mark Odom, Texas Cavaliers, Jerry Deleon, Los Desperados and Scott Wiggins. On Friday night, Mario Flores and Soda Creek band will play. On Saturday, there will be the 5K Wild Bill Cowboy Gallop and 2-mile fun walk, Cowboy Homecoming parade, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, best Margarita contest, Chili Cook-off, and free play in the new Pleasanton River park on the Splash Pad, Zip-line and playground for children plus food vendors.
