Pleasanton resident Wilbur Palmer was recognized during the Nov. 5 Pleasanton City Council meeting for his heroic actions following the Center Pharmacy robbery on Oct. 31. Minutes after the burglarers left, Palmer walked into the pharmacy to find two employees tied up. Palmer immediately freed the employees and checked on them before calling 9-1-1 to the scene. Mayor Travis Hall presented Palmer with a plaque during the meeting and Palmer received a standing ovation from council members.
