Quality Tubing- STX Open House on Oct. 5
NOV Completion & Production Solutions invites the public to a barbecue lunch at their South Texas Facility Open House on Friday, Oct. 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Quality Tubing- STX is located at 187 Pleasanton Park Rd. in Pleasanton.
As part of the event, they are asking guests to bring food donations to support the local food bank. High demand items include canned goods, pasta and rice, dry cereal, sugar-free items and lowsodium and no-salt items.
They will be opening their South Texas service center to help customers in the area quickly come in and service their coiled tubing oilfield equipment, as opposed to coming all the way back to Houston for new equipment and repairs.
Blessing of the Animals
The public is cordially invited to the Celebration of Saint Francis and the Blessing of the Animals at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Hwy. 97, in Pleasanton.
The blessings will take place on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6 – 7 p.m. All animals are welcome. Bring your beloved pets, even your stuffed animals, for a blessing.
Animals must be on a leash, in a cage or trailer for everyone’s peace of mind. The blessings will take place outdoors along the covered walkway and in the parking lot following a brief welcoming service inside.
St. Francis of Assisi, born in Italy in 1181, abandoned a life of luxury and devoted his life to Christianity. He is the patron saint of animals and the environment. His feast day is the 4th of October. Please join us and bring your beloved pets.
Next Senior Day Oct. 11
Due to Columbus Day on Monday, the next Senior Day has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 11. Join fellow senior citizens for BINGO at the Pleasanton Civic Center, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Cards are free, but a $5 donation would be greatly appreciated.
Senior Day events are sponsored by the City of Pleasanton Parks and Recreation Department and Pleasanton Express. Each week a free, fun activity is held with no registration needed.
Beth Moore Simulcast at First Baptist Church
On Saturday, Oct. 6, First Baptist Church Pleasanton will sponsor a free Beth Moore Simulcast, from 9 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. with a hour break for lunch. There will be free babysitting provided for up to the age of 5-yearsold.

Jam on Oct. 13
The Navigators and Clax Horejs will present the next Skate Jam on Saturday, Oct. 13. Join them at the Pleasanton River Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for this free event. Waivers must be signed.
There will be prize drawings, as well as free food
The Paisano Volunteer Fire Department of Campbellton will hold an important community meeting to discuss the future of the fire department.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Campbellton Community Hall. The meeting will address the lack of volunteers, which could possibly lead to the closure of the department. Everyone is urged to attend.
Atascosa County Fair
The Atascosa County Fair is set for this Saturday, Oct. 6. It has moved to a new location this year, the Cowboy Fellowship Church arena at 561 FM 33501 in Jourdanton.
The Sonny Domsch Memorial Annual Prospect Lamb, Goat, Heifer and Steer Show is open to all junior livestock exhibitors. You must be a 4-H or FFA member.

Vigil, Domestic Violence Awareness
