Swing Into Action Golf Tournament April 20

Event by Safer Path Family Violence Shelter. Tee time at noon at Pleasanton Country Club. Fee is $100 per person and $200 per team which includes golf cart and meal. Cash prizes and payouts awarded. April 20 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Pleasanton Municipal Airport. Free family fun with music, static aircraft display, car show, vendors and Kids Fun Zone. Come meet regional pilots and car enthusiasts.

Pleasanton ISD invites all parents and community members to attend “The Facts: A Parent’s Guide to the Risks Associated with Vapes and Fentanyl” presentation, 5:30-7 p.m. at high school cafeteria. Free hot dogs provided by Dads on Duty from 5:30-6 p.m.

ACT Theatre presents ‘Steel Magnolias’

City of Pleasanton Cinco De Mayo Fiesta

May 4 at Pleasanton River Park, 5 p.m.-midnight. Tamale Eating Contest, Borracho Bean Cook-Off, mariachis, live music, vendors, scholarship contest and headliner Erick y Su Grupo Massore. Tickets are $5 and kids 10 and under are free. VIP is $50 per person.

St. Andrew Catholic Church Picnic May 5

BBQ meal from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. is $12 per plate. Children’s games, live auction and raffle tickets with great prizes. Tickets are available after Mass and at the Parish Office, 626 Market St. in Pleasanton.
