Music in the Park Kids Jam March 24

City of Pleasanton Parks & Recreation Dept. will host this fun, interactive jam session at Pleasanton River Park. Kids ages 18 and under are invited to perform and watch other talented young kids play and sing. No need to sign up before event. Simply show up with your talent or musical instrument and perform. CAST Team Roping on March 25

Children’s Alliance of South Texas to hold Inaugural Cowboy Up Against Child Abuse Benefit Team Roping at Cowboy Fellowship arena in Jourdanton. Event starts at 12 noon. Rutledge Cemetery dedication March 25

Atascosa County Historical Commission invites the public to the official Texas Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony for Rutledge Cemetery. March 25 at 10 a.m. at 1735 Rutledge Rd. in Poteet. Head on out to Poteet VFW afterwards for general meeting at 11:30 a.m. and home-cooked lunch at 12 p.m. Tickets at door until sold out, $12 per plate.

City of Poteet Easter Egg Hunt on March 25

Free event from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Poteet Canyon Park. Free hot dogs and chips. First ever Social Hour for Special Needs Adults

SA Food Bank offering federal benefit application assistance

San Ysidro Cemetery Association notice

Clean-up day is April 1 and starts at 8 a.m. Members are urged to attend and help with the cleanup. Members are asked to bring their lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc. Meeting is April 2 at 2:30 p.m. at Cafe Chris, 1360 West Oaklawn Rd., Suite C in Pleasanton. All members are urged to attend.

BBQ plate fundraiser April 1

At 10:30 a.m. in Family Dollar parking lot (1501 Second St. in Pleasanton). Funds raised to send local teens to South Texas Believers Boot Camp. Plates include chicken, sausage, rice and beans for $10 each. Camp instills exercise, discipline, leadership and faith to all who attend.
