56th Annual Pleasanton Young Farmers Rodeo and Dance Aug. 19-20

Battle of Medina Annual Symposium Aug. 20

Hosted by Atascosa Co. Historical Commission at Lonnie Gillespie Memorial Annex, 25 E. 5th St. in Leming. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Commemoration ceremony followed by historical presentations by renowned speakers. Vendors providing literature and historical material. Event will close with update from search for battlefield location.

Blood drive Aug. 26

Poteet Block Party

The City of Poteet will be hosting a block party Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m on Avenue I between city hall and the Poteet Public Library. The public is invited to come enjoy music, food vendors, water slides, a cakewalk and much more. Sponsors are needed for the event. Patriot Day 5K in the Park
