Broken record

I feel like a broken record…. encouraging you to once again vote! With the delay of the Texas Primaries, May 29th seems really late to vote either Republican or Democrat – but once again, it really is important that you exercise this right.

Early voting is underway at the county election administrator’s office at the Atascosa County Annex building on Main Street in Jourdanton now through May 25.

Library Salad Luncheon Friends of the Pleasanton Public Library is having their 12th annual salad luncheon and silent auction this Thursday, May 17 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. It will be held at the Jourdanton Community Center. There is always lots of salads – hearty, sweet, pasta and even tossed – to enjoy. Tickets are just $7 per plate (to go or eat in) and proceeds will be used to buy shelving, tables, chairs etc. for the new library.

Graduation Issue Our Graduation issue will be next Wednesday, May 23. Class photos, Valedictorians, Salutatorians and greeting ads from loved ones will be featured. Luckily, the deadline has been extended to this Friday, May 18.

Smug Mug photo sale Our online photos are on sale this month. You can save 50% by ordering before May 31. What a great way to surprise your favorite graduate on or off the field or court and make a scrapbook or photo album. See our ad on page 2A for complete details.
