At Lonnie Gillespie Memorial Annex cafeteria in Leming. Free and open to public. Opening reception Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 6-8 p.m. Continues Oct. 28-30 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free and open to public.

Dia de los Muertos Cemetery Clean-up

Community Cemetery of Charlotte on Monday, Nov. 1. Meet at 4:15 with clean-up until 5:15 p.m. Meet at the altar (pavilion) at 5:15 p.m. followed by story and craft for kids. Tamales and more at 5:30 p.m. Free event celebrating lives of departed through volunteer work, food and more. Those attending encouraged to come in costume and bring photo of a loved one.

Noche de las Calaveras on Nov. 6

Downtown Main Street in Pleasanton, 5-9 p.m. Cultural celebration with food and art vendors. Folklorico performance, Altar Contest and Catrina Costume Contest. Vendors needed. For details call 830-570-2782 or 830-569- 2163.

Sunday, Nov. 7 at George Farms, 595 Mobile Home Alley in Poteet. Help raise funds for Diabetic Alert Dog for Stevie Jayde Beddo. 3K Fun Run, BBQ plate sale, raffle drawing, baked and canned goods sale, face-painting and more.

6th annual Atascosa Co. Veterans Day Event

Wednesday, Nov. 10. Parade starts at 11 a.m. at 1101 Main St. in Jourdanton (behind Tax Assessor- Collector Office). Line up at 10:30 a.m. Meals for veterans to be provided at Veterans Service Office.

Veterans Day Assembly at Jourdanton ISD

Thursday, Nov. 11 for all local veterans. Jourdanton Elementary and Early Childhood Center Assembly from 9-10 a.m. at junior high gym. Jourdanton Jr. High and High School Assembly from 10:30-11 a.m. at high school gym. Complimentary lunch for all veterans at 11 a.m. RSVP to Kassy at 830-769-3549.

Atascosa Co. Feast of Thanksgiving

Thursday, Nov. 25 at Jourdanton Community Center, 1101 Campbell Ave. Free and co-hosted by Julie Hilberg and Wayne Vaughn. Open to any resident of Atascosa County. Serving seating times are 12 noon, 1, 2 or 3 p.m. To-go pickup is 1-3 p.m. For reservations, text only: 830-534-7083. Leave name, number attending and preferred time. Limit eight per reservation inperson or to-go.
