Open audition on Nov. 19 for Talent Show
Show off your talent and earn a cash prize. An open audition for the Merry on Main’s Got Talent Show is set for Thursday, Nov. 19, from 7-9 p.m. at the Pleasanton Civic Center.

Little Miss Merry on Main deadline Nov. 20
The Little Miss Merry on Main Pageant will be back this year as part of Merry on Main 2020 on Saturday, Dec. 5. The pageant will take place on the Main Stage at 10:30 a.m.
The event will be open to Atascosa County girls ages 7-10 and is sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Pleasanton. Dress attire is Sunday’s Best. All contestants shall wear masks.
Preregister at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the Pleasanton Civic Center to pick up a form. Deadline is Nov. 20.
Nov. 20 deadline to be part of the River Park Wonderland
The Pleasanton River Park Wonderland Christmas Tree Trail is coming back. The Pleasanton Parks and Recreation Department and Merry on Main Street is excited to have the community come together to create this joyful Christmas display for families and friends to enjoy.

If you would like to participate in the Gingerbread House Contest at Merry on Main, fill out the preregistration form by visiting merryonmain.org/ forms and turn it in to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the Pleasan- ton Civic Center, located at 115 N. Main St. Deadline to enter is Nov. 20. There is a youth category (ages 5-15) and an adult category (16 and older).
Decorate at home and bring your completed house to show off your skills in these categories: Most Creative, Most Delicious Looking, Largest Structure and Most Festive.
Be a part of the Merry on Main Night Parade!
The Merry on Main Lighted Christmas Night Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, starting at 7 p.m. Local groups and organizations are invited to join in the fun and participate in the parade. Parade forms are available online at merryonmain.org under the “Forms” section. Deadline to turn in your form is Nov. 25.

Volunteers needed for Merry on Main event
Jessica Tom, coordinator for the upcoming Merry on Main weekend in Pleasanton, invites the public to lend a hand and volunteer.
Volunteers help provide the fun. You can assist with the ice slide, event setting up, tearing sets down when an event is over, judging, parade lineup and more.

Poteet Blue Santa registration deadline Nov. 20
Residents in the Poteet area who would like to receive a toy this Christmas may sign up for the Poteet Police Association’s Blue Santa Program.
Forms are available at the police department, or print one out from Facebook. Deadline is Nov. 20. Distribution will be Dec. 5, starting at 6 p.m. at the Strawberry Festival grounds. It will be a drivethru event.
Jourdanton Cops4Kids fundraiser
Order some delicious Krispy Kreme glazed donuts while supporting the Jourdanton Police Department’s Cops4Kids initiative at the same time. Cop4Kids provides Christmas gifts to families who live within the Jourdanton ISD boundaries and need a helping hand during the holidays.

Pleasanton PD Blue Santa
The Pleasanton Police Department is now accepting applications for families interested in receiving gifts through the Blue Santa program.
You can pick up applications at the police station. Deadline to turn them in is Dec. 4. Drive-thru distribution is set for Dec. 18.
They also welcome any toy and monetary donations, which can be dropped off at the station.
Toys for Tots online registration only
Due to COVID-19, all Toys for Tots registration will be online. Families may apply at this link: san-antonio-tx. toysfortots.org/. Deadline to sign up is Nov. 30. Click the “Apply for Toys” red button to apply. Toy distribution will be in San Antonio.
CPS Christmas Angels
CPS Christmas Angels have arrived for the holiday season at the Pleasanton Public Library. The angels each speak for an Atascosa County child currently under CPS care.
Please stop by and take an angel from the tree. Buy as many gifts from their list as you would like. Return the unwrapped gift with angel attached no later than Dec. 5.
Wild Bill “Christmas” Cowboy Gallop on Dec. 5
The Wild Bill “Christmas” Cowboy Gallop hosted by the Pleasanton Express is set for Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Pleasanton River Park.

Christmas in Charlotte Parade Dec. 12
The annual Christmas in Charlotte Parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 12.
This year, the City of Charlotte will hold a Decoration Challenge: Christmas Winter Wonderland. Deck out your trailer, vehicle, etc. for the chance to win the Most Christmas Spirit for 2020.
