Small Business Startup Planning Webinar Sept. 17

The City of Pleasanton and EMC Strategy Group, LLC will hold a Small Business Startup Planning Webinar on Sept. 17 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The webinar will highlight stepby step points on how to prepare, register and plan for a successful business. The webinar will create awareness of the various levels of support for small business owners. This webinar is free and open to all.

Voter registration, curbside campaigning Sept. 19

The Atascosa County Republican Party will sponsor a voter registration and curbside campaigning event this Saturday, Sept. 19. The event will run from 3-6 p.m. at their new headquarters location at 1304 Zanderson in Jourdanton.

SA Food Bank Mega-Food Drive on Sept. 19

The San Antonio Food Bank will host a Mega-Food Drive Distribution at the Pleasanton River Park on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. Address location is 1220 River Park Road in Pleasanton.

Volunteers are also needed to help with distribution. If you wish to volunteer please email tgarza@pleasantontx.gov. Volunteers will need to arrive at the Pleasanton River Park at 8 a.m.

Atascosa Co. Republican Party Headquarters ribbon cutting Sept. 20

The Atascosa County Republican Party has a new Headquarters location. They finally secured a location and they will be holding a ribbon-cutting and grand opening this Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. at 1304 Zanderson in Jourdanton. All are welcome to attend.

Pleasanton blood drive

Help the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center ensure blood is available whenever and wherever it is needed.

Register for the blood drive that will be held at the Pleasanton Civic Center on Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 24. Times will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days. Please note this is by appointment only.

Jourdanton blood drive

Making a blood donation is one of the most intimate and priceless gifts one can give and The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center is honored to be the bridge between those two lives.

The Jourdanton Rotary Club is co-sponsoring a blood drive on Friday, Sept. 25 at the Jourdanton Community Center. Hours to donate are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and by appointment only.

Pick your own pumpkin

Mark your calendars to take your family to the pumpkin patch at George Farms, 595 Mobile Home Alley in Poteet.

Pick Your Own Pumpkin 2020 starts Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will continue every weekend until the end of October.

There will be lots of photos, games, great food by Backyard Kitchen, delicious homemade baked goods, fishing, face painting and the opportunity to take a pumpkin right off the vine.

Entry fee includes your pumpkin, hayride, access to vendors, games, most activities and more. They will be practicing social distancing, with hand sanitizer throughout the farm. George Farms is an open air farm where plenty of space is available to walk around and enjoy your time away from home.

Merry on Main 2020

It will be here before you know it. Mark your calendars for Merry on Main Street 2020, Dec. 4 and 5 in Pleasanton. It will be the largest Christmas event in Atascosa County, located in downtown Main Street in Pleasanton.

This Christmas festival for all ages will include a free Kid Zone, ice slide, lighted parade, Firework Extravaganza, Talent Show, Santa visits, live music, Ballet Folkloric and more.
