The storms that came through on Monday were so loud, even I woke up for them. Medina County was really hit hard with tornadoes, hail and winds.Checking the rain gauge on Tuesday I saw that 4.5 inches had fallen. We always need rain but hope that the other things that can come with it …don’t.

PHS Superintendent’s Conversation

Linda M. Hall wants to remind people in the Pleasanton ISD to please join Superintendent, Dr. Cynthia Clinesmith, for a Superintendent Community Conversation on Wednesday, March 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the PISD Board Room. Dr. Clinesmith will share recent accomplishments of PISD students and staff, review any action taken at the previous board meeting, and provide an opportunity to address issues and concerns. All are welcome to attend!

Rotary Spaghetti

The Rotarians will host their fundraising spaghetti dinner this Thursday. It will be at the Pleasanton High School and served from 5:30-7 p.m. The plates are just $5 and includes salad and French bread. The funds raised go to the Rotary Club’s Scholarship program.

Turn n’ Burn

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce is having their second annual Turn n’ Burn this Friday and Saturday. The IBCA sanctioned barbecue cook-off includes team roping, horseshoe and washer tournaments and, of course, dances. Friday from 8-12 will be Jake Hooker and Saturday night Tejas Sonido (9-11 p.m.) will open for Roger Creager (11 p.m.-1 a.m.) For more info, please see the ad on page 5A.
