There seemas to be a rash of missing dogs over the last few weeks.
Ads have been purchased and signs are staked in yards all around town.
One dog in particular has been missing for about a month.
A blonde Chihuahua, female, no collar but had on a grey doggie shirt. (See ad on page 2). A $5,000 reward has been offered for her return. Mattie, a Yorkie, has been missing since the end of January, too. Also, a longhaired Chihuahua, ZuZu, is gone. These owners are frantic for their return.
I so get it.
Pets are our family members. They worm their way into our hearts and comfort us when we are blue, keep us active, and have listening ears. They never require much in return but a pat on the head, a place to sleep and food for their tummy.
If you happen to have seen these pups or know where they may be, please call our newspaper, or the number on the ads.
Hayden at Rodeo It always nice to see Pleasanton native Rodney Hayden perform and when he is close by- even better! He will be at the San Antonio Rodeo grounds at the Bud Light Stage on the Party Plaza this Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6:45 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Spring is getting close It may still be chilly, but next week, Feb. 22 is Ash Wednesday. That means that Easter is just around the corner……which means….Strawberry Festival is on our horizon! See who will be running for royalty on page 1-B.
Presidents’ Day is Monday A reminder – no mail, nor banking on Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day. All schools in the Brush Country will be closed as well, except for students attending Tier II at Pleasanton I.S.D.
