City of Pleasanton GSA Procurement Workshop
The City of Pleasanton will hold its first General Service Administration (GSA) Procurement Workshop on May 31, at 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Pleasanton Civic Center.
The Pleasanton-GSA Procurement Workshop is free and open to any person or small business that would like to do business with the federal government.

Remaining graduation ceremonies include Pleasanton High School on Saturday, June 2 at 8 p.m. at Eagle Stadium; Poteet High School on Friday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Aggie Stadium and McMullen County ISD on June 1 at 7 p.m. in the MC ISD new gym.
Popsicles with the Police
Come celebrate the start of summer with a cool treat and a free book, at Popsicles with the Police. The event will take place this Thursday, May 31, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Pleasanton Police Department.
City pool to open
The City of Pleasanton Pool will officially open for the summer season this Saturday, June 2. The pool is located at 1414 Downey Drive, behind the Sports Complex.
12 Week Summer Program for kids
The City of Pleasanton Parks and Recreation Department will begin its free, 12 Week Summer Program for kids on June 7. All events are set to begin at 10 a.m. Most of these activities will take place at the River Park or Civic Center. See the Living section for the full schedule.
Parks Master Plan Groundbreaking Ceremony June 8
The City of Pleasanton Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Parks Master Plan Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday, June 8 at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Pleasanton River Park Pavilion #2. The public is invited.
There will also be free food and a Movie Night after the ceremony, sponsored by the City of Pleasanton and Atascosa Family Crisis Center.
4×4 Aim for Kindness
The 4×4 Aim for Kindness in honor of Tanner McCleary’s birthday will be on June 9, at the Meyer Range (Gun and Machine Shop) located at 95 S CR 321 in Jourdanton. Sign in is at 8 a.m. and the last shot will be at 4 p.m.
This event will be a 4 discipline shooting competition (rifle, modified skeet, men’s pistol and women’s pistol) and also consist of a live and silent auction. The funds raised will be split four ways between the Atascosa County Law Enforcement Officers Association, Atascosa Family Crisis Center, CASA of South Texas and the Children’s Alliance of South Texas.

Boy Scout Troop 194 Garage Sale
Boy Scout Troop 194 will hold a garage sale on Saturday, June 9, at 314 N. Bryant Street in Pleasanton. The sale will run from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.

Kicks for Kids
The Atascosa County Child Welfare Board invites you to their first ever Kicks for Kids family kickball tournament on June 13-14, at the Pleasanton Sports Complex. The event will be a 16-team single elimination tournament. Family kickball means teams will be comprised of adults and kids.
Sponsorships are also available and must be submitted by May 30. Sponsors will receive name recognition on event T-shirts and banner.
