Plestex 4 Summer Fun Festival

The Pleasanton Lions Club is sponsoring Free Movie Wednesdays at Plestex 4 Theatre. You can beat the heat by catching a show at noon or 2 p.m. On Wednesday, June 8 Plestex is featuring The Peanuts Movie and on Wednesday, June 15 The Lego Movie will be featured. On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!

Pleasanton Library’s Summer Reading Program will begin June 15th-July 13th for children going into kindergarten through 5th grade. Pre-registration is required and forms may be picked up at the

library. All participants MUST have a library card.

They will also be having “Monday at the Movies”. Movies will take place Monday, June 13 through Monday, July 11 (No movie July 4th) in the Civic Center at 10 a.m. For any other questions, please call 830-569-5901.

June Vacation Bible School Schedule

Crosspoint Fellowship will be holding its Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday, June 12 through Thursday, June 16 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information, please call (830) 570-9031.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive

The Reguladores Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club will hold the Peanut Butter and Jelly Ride on Saturday, June 18. This is a food drive for St. Matthew’s Soup Kitchen and other local food pantries. The event will be at Texas South Dance Hall in Pleasanton. Bring a jar of peanut butter or jelly and $5 donation for each rider. For details, call Vic “Vampire” Sanchez at (210) 617-1078.

OLOG 2016 Annual Festival

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church-Leming’s annual festival time is finally here! There will be lots to do, see and taste on Sunday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Barbecue brisket plates with all the trimmings will be sold for $8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be vendors, a country store, live/silent auctions, entertainment by folklorico dancers and singers. There will be face painting for the kids, cake walk, pony rides, dunking booth and carnival snack food favorites.
