On July 13, 2021, the Pleasanton Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (PNET), Texas Highway Patrol, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division and the 81st Judicial District Attorney’s Office conducted a joint investigation involving the distribution of methamphetamine in and around Pleasanton and the Atascosa County area.
At that time, the investigation resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Katheryn Jo Anderson of Pleasanton who was found to be in alleged possession of 185 grams of methamphetamine. Anderson was booked into the Wilson County Jail for alleged manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance PG1 4-200 grams.
During the investigation Anderson’s source of supply was identified as 32-year-old Melissa Ann Gonzales Flores of San Antonio. On Aug. 25, 2021, Gonzales was arrested and booked into the Bexar County Jail for alleged evading arrest in a motor vehicle and a state parole warrant. Seized from Gonzales during the investigation was 8.6 pounds (3.90 kilograms) of methamphetamine and $5,600 of US Currency. Federal indictments are pending against Gonzales.
These arrests are the direct result of interagency cooperation and the relentless pursuit of those who continue to peddle these poisons in and around our community.
