Our Lady of Grace postponed their Fall Bingo event due to COVID-19, but there is a finger-licking good Fried Chicken Fundraiser in its place.
Save your appetite for Sunday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. For $10, you are served up a hot, delicious meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll, dessert and tea. The meal will be served “to go” only at the school, Saint Andrew Catholic Church Hall starting at 11 a.m.
Community service is a huge part of Our Lady of Grace’s mission and is taught daily to students. OLGCS strives to give back to the community and is asking people to buy meals and to donate a meal ticket to a first responder. You buy and Our Lady of Grace delivers. The school is estimating 100 first responders working during the lunch hour on Sunday, Sept. 27. More than 35 plates are already donated. Our Lady of Grace thanks the school community of parents, students and faculty for working together to make this fundraiser successful.
To purchase tickets for yourself or a first responder, call the school office at 830-569-8073 or contact an OLG parent.
Our Lady of Grace began the 2020-2021 school year the week of Monday, Aug. 17. The school had a staggered start with half students attending Monday and Wednesday and the other half on Tuesday and Thursday. All students were together beginning on Aug. 24.
“It has been wonderful having all of my angels back on campus and in church. I have missed their smiling faces. We are taking every precaution to keep all of my students and faculty safe,” said Jeanette Geyer, OLGCS principal.
