No. 21 Lady Eagles roll to 6-0 start

The 21st-ranked Pleasanton Lady Eagles picked up a pair of wins to increase their hot start to 6-0.

The Lady Eagles hosted Center Point on Friday, Nov. 22, and picked up a 61-20 win to start Thanksgiving break.

Baylee Bauer led the way over the Lady Pirates with 17 points in that win.

The Lady Eagles picked up the momentum in the first quarter, outscoring Center Point 16-4 behind six points from Heaven Marquez in the period. Marquez finished with 10 points on Friday as Pleasanton continuously distanced themselves from Center Point.

On Tuesday, the Lady Eagles continued their dominant run with a 48- 32 win over Lytle thanks to another first quarter outburst.

Pleasanton led the Lytle 19-5 after the first quarter, which proved to be the foundation for their 16-point win on the road. Lytle would only outscore Pleasanton 12-11 in the second quarter.

Pleasanton increased their margin through each of the next two quarters to remain unbeaten.

Bauer led the way once again with 11 points. Calli Jones, Kayli Kennedy and Kenley Miller each had eight points for a balanced scoring output from the Lady Eagles.

Pleasanton (6-0) will head to Pearsall for a nondistrict game on Dec. 3.
