The Charlotte Trojans (in dark pants) and the Bartlett Bulldogs played their regional final playoff game in the Houston Astrodome and it was the end of the line for the Trojans who went down to defeat.

H-E-B donates food baskets- Pleasanton HEB Food Store donated food baskets to five families from Atascosa County. Each basket contained $100 worth of groceries including turkeys, hams, potatoes, soft drinks, breads, fresh fruits and vegetables and other staples that fit the families needs. Ready to deliver the baskets are, from the left, Joe Perales, store director; Annie Contreras, scan coordinator; Mary Roblez, Andrew Bomba, Juan Gonzales, Alfred Gomez, and Randy Salmeron.

Who’s got the ball- Two little Eagle eighth-graders, Matty Rodriguez and an unidentified teammate, battle for the ball in a recent game with Kenedy. Junior High basketball teams are not scheduled more this year until the boys host Somerset on January 10th. The girls, 7th and 8th grade, do not play until the Pleasanton Junior High boys and girls tournament in Pleasanton on January 12th.
