New EMS Director appointed for county

Edward W. Dugosh III was awarded the position of Atascosa County EMS Director by Commissioners’ Court on Monday, October 9. Dugosh will replace Jimmy Day, long time EMS Director for the county who recently announced his retirement. Dugosh will assume the position on November 1. At the right, standing, is Edward W. Dugosh began working in Atascosa County in 2014 as a paramedic. He worked in fire and EMS in 2004, serving in Somerset, Universal City and Schertz. He graduated paramedic school in 2008 and in 2012 was hired on as Bexar County ESD-5 fire chief.
