National Night Out events slated

Pleasanton Police Department announced the National Night Out event scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the Pleasanton River Park from 6-8 p.m.

The State of Texas celebrates National Night Out the first Tuesday in October as an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

This night is made for families and kids of all ages. Locally, the Pleasanton Police Department, Jourdanton Police Department and Poteet Police Department will be hosting their events during the evening.

The night aims to promote police-community partnerships and give people an opportunity to participate in numerous activities.

The Pleasanton PD’s National Night Out event will be held at the Pleasanton River Park. The event is free family fun and includes hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn, bounce house, mechanical bull, dunk tank and more.

The Jourdanton Police Department will host National Night Out on Oct. 3 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Jourdanton Little League fields at 1101 Champion Dr. Free food and games, cake walk and more will be provided. Guests are encouraged to dress up as movie stars or characters.

 

 

The Poteet Police Association and the City of Poteet will host its National Night Out event on Sept. 29 from 6-10 p.m. at Poteet Municipal Park on Ave. C. Bounce houses, music, Fire Rescue demo, food and more will be provided.
