Narciso (Chicho) Garza, Sr. age 82 of McCoy went to be with the lord on October 26, 2019 in Jourdanton. He was born in the Leal community on October 29, 1936 to Mariano and Elena Leal Garza.
Chicho is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Francis (Kika) Garza. Together they had 6 loving children, Mary Barro of McCoy, Ida Castillo and husband Kenny of McCoy, Hilda Garza of Pleasanton, Narcisco Garza Jr and wife Maria of Charlotte, Norma Montemayor and husband Joe of San Antonio and Victoria Villado and Bosco Smith of Charlotte.
Chicho was loved by many. He is survived by his 22 grandchildren, Paz Garza and wife Alice, Erica Villarreal and husband David, Stephanie Garza and husband Rudy, Kasie Castillo, Jeremy Garza, John Paul Garza, Fabian Garza, Joey Garza, Victoria Rodriguez and husband Moses, Jessica Garza, Jerald Diaz, Jennifer Garcia and husband Alex, Jalisa Edge and husband Nathaniel, Dallyn Villado and wife Crystal,and Nicolas Villado, and 42 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Margie Gutierrez of Poteet, Stella Talamantez of Pleasanton and Melinda Hackett and husband Edward of Pleasanton; brothers, Jesus Garza and wife Maggie of Pleasanton, Mariano Garza Jr. and wife Enlutheria of Poteet and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mariano and Elena Garza; brothers, Jose Maria Garza, Manuel Garza, Sr., Alfredo Garza, Sr., Ismael Garza, Sr. and Johnny Garza.
Chicho worked ranching and cattle for many years with Joe Williams, Kinsel Ranch, Jim McDaniel, Mr. Roy Wheeler, Jim Wheeler and Mr. Day. For the past 59 years you could find him working at the Atascosa Livestock Exchange in Pleasanton.
Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Friday, November 1 with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Templo Emanuel on Saturday, November 2 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Leal Cemetery.
