Murray O’Neal, age 86, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born in San Antonio on August 11, 1931 to Falcom and Ethel (Schumacher) O’Neal. Murray was a school teacher for over 30 years. He was a proud graduate of OU. He also served in the United States Army Reserves, where he was also an aid to Dwight D. Eisenhower, Jr.
Murray is survived by his wife Margaret (Cecil) O’Neal of Pleasanton; son Gary O’Neal and wife Sylvia of Pleasanton and daughter, Nina Long and husband David of Norman, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dean Long and wife Mary and Becky Long and great-grandson, Ethan Long. Murray is preceded in death by his parents, Falcom and Ethel O’Neal.
Visitation was at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Sunday, January 21 from 2 – 8 p.m. Graveside service was Monday, January 22 at 10 a.m. at Pleasanton City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leonard Saenz, Hunter Saenz, Charlie Saenz, Felix Solis, Dean Long and David Long.
