Meth, Heroin, Cocaine, Acid, Xanax, cash, guns found

As result of a joint investigation by the Narcotics Units of the Atascosa County and Bexar County Sheriff’s Offices, a search warrant was executed early Friday morning on Royal Oaks Street in the Shalimar Subdivision north of Poteet. The residence has been under investigation by Atascosa County Sheriff’s Investigators for three months for suspected narcotics dealing. According to Sheriff David Soward, investigators had been told that a variety of narcotics were allegedly being dealt from the residence and that the suspects were also allegedly trading drugs for stolen property and guns.

About 9:00 a.m. Friday,  the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Special Operations Unit excuted the search warrant that had been issued by County Court at Law Judge Bob Brendel.

Atascosa and Bexar County deputies located and seized thousands of dollars worth of stolen property, $2,366 in cash, seven firearms, along with quantities of Methamphetamine, Heroin, Cocaine, Acid, Xanax, and hydro marijuana. Suspected stolen property included hundreds of dollars in silver coins, Japanese post war currency, seven guns, sports cards collections, and numerous other items. DPS Highway Patrol also assisted in the operation.

Arrested were:
Mary Jane Garcia, age 46, of Shalimar who was charged with Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver, 4 to 200 grams and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, 1 to 4 grams.
Martin Garcia Jr., age 23, of Shalimar was charged with Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver, 1 to 4 grams, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, 1 to 4 grams, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, 1 to 4 grams, Possession of Xanax with Intent to Deliver, under 28 grams, Possession of Acid under 20 units; Possession of Marijuana over 2 ounces less than 4 ounces, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

ACSO Sheriff’s Lieutenant Investigator Max Peralta stated Investigators suspect the pair have been providing narcotics in the subdivision for quite some time and the residence was a hub for criminal activity.

Both suspects are in the Atascosa County Jail.
