Nora Mildred Montgomery White passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 88 at home in Pleasanton. Mildred was born on January 16, 1933, to Pearl and Denver Montgomery. She married Thomas Dalton White in 1952 and had one son Craig White.
Mildred worked for Southwest Bell Telephone company most of her life starting her career at the age of 16. She became the Chief Operator and in charge of the Pleasanton office until its closing, at which time, she was transferred to San Antonio. By the time she retired from SWBT, she had purchased a number of residential properties and began her second career as a rental landlord until her passing.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Denver and Pearl Montgomery; her husband Dalton White; and three brothers LeRoy, Richard and JW Montgomery and sister Alene Quinney.
She is survived by her son Craig White and wife Patricia, grandson Jeffry White, great-grandsons Skyler White and Mikal White, great-nieces Amber Montgomery and Amanda Leal, along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be nephews Belo Wiley, Doy Mims, Michael Quinney, Russell Miller, John Miller, Leonard Montgomery, Gerald Montgomery and family friend Kenneth (Tinker) Pfullman.
Eulogy will be delivered by Scott Smoot and graveside closing by Cliff Royal.
Mildred’s services are Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pleasanton. Interment to follow services at the Pleasanton City Cemetery.
