Middle of the fun in Brush Country Schools

As the end of January arrives, we can officially say we are about in the middle of the school year in Texas Public Schools. As schools begin to see a little growth thanks to the Eagle Ford Shale and or Academic success, how are Brush Country area schools handling their 2011-2012 school year. Over the next month, we will take a trip around the Brush Country and look at how each school district is doing.

I have taken it upon myself, to meet with each school superintendent in the Brush Country and see what topics or highlights are occurring during this school year. I thought it would be neat, to let the readers of the Pleasanton Express take a deeper look into each school district. After all, don’t the majority of you still pay school taxes?

As I have grown to love reporting the world of sports to you, I also love to report the academic success of students. So I hope you enjoy my school reports over the next five weeks. We will start this week off with an article on McMullen County I.S.D.

Next week, I will give you a report on either Poteet or Pleasanton I.S.D. If there something special you would like to know about our school system? If so, let me know so I can consider including it in my upcoming series.
