Michael Edwin Ludlam, known to all as Mike, was born March 19, 1958, to Alton Charles Ludlam and Sarah Ann Reichardt Ludlam. He passed away on November 11, 2021, in San Antonio.
As a child, Mike spent time in many different places, while his father was in the military, before graduating from HM King High School in 1976.
He went on to TSTI in Waco, to study heavy truck mechanics before joining Halliburton in May of 1977. He remained with Halliburton for 35 years before retiring. Mike enjoyed his work with Halliburton since it gave him the opportunity to meet so many new people.
He was an avid NASCAR fan who made sure he never missed watching a race. He loved spending time with his children and watching them grow up.
He loved dancing the night away and taught his children to dance. He liked attending rodeos. He loved watching his youngest son race quarter midgets and spending time with his old- est son at the ranch that his son works on.
He is survived by his father Charles Alton Ludlam of Kingsville; children Tana Taylor (Joey) of Rockport, Ronnie Ludlam (Christi) of Medina, Desiree McClellan (Chris) of Charlotte, and Austin Ludlam of Pleasanton; along with his bonus children Kendall Jordan of Pleasanton, Tyler Jordan (Lauren) of San Antonio, grandchildren Westin, Chris Jr., Clayton, Olive, Tinlee, and Swayze. He is preceded in death by his mother Sarah Ann Ludlam.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 29 from 12 – 4 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Jourdanton. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.
