The 2021 McMullen County Livestock Show will be in full swing starting Wednesday, Jan. 20. This year will be different from years past. Little Britches was canceled and there are new guidelines for the livestock show. Please see the new guidelines below.

General:

• Little Britches is canceled for this year.

• There will NOT be a mandatory clean-up prior to the show this year.

• Animals MUST be removed from the barn immediately after the conclusion of their species show and can be removed anytime after they show in their class (don’t have to wait for the show to conclude).

• No animals will be present during the sale this year.

• Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning pens ($50 fine for pens left dirty).

Pigs:

• Pigs may come to the barn anytime the week of the show, prior to weigh-in (Jan. 18-20)

• Pigs must be in their assigned pens by 6 p.m., Jan. 20 when weigh-in begins.

• Weigh-in will be conducted by pen number. Animals must be in their assigned pens and be weighed in when it’s their turn.

 

 

Rabbits/Chickens:

• The poultry show will begin immediately after weigh-in.

• The rabbit show will begin immediately after weigh-in.

Lamb/Goat:

• Animals must be in their assigned pens by 8 a.m., Jan. 22 when weigh-in begins

• Weigh-in will be conducted by pen number. Animals must be in their assigned pens and be weighed in when it’s their turn.
