Mayor’s Message – Pleasanton

Greetings from the Mayor’s Office, This week is a very exciting week in our city. “Merry on Main” is quickly approaching and will be here this Friday and Saturday. I would personally like to invite you and your family to attend all the activities and bring your friends, also. The Pleasanton Express will have a full schedule, so make your plans to be there and enjoy our annual event. After all, we have “Merry on Main” for everyone to enjoy and to get you in the Christmas spirit.

One event I would like to mention is the Christmas tree lighting which will take place Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at our beautiful River Park. We will have the Pleasanton High School Christmas Carol singers on hand, and then will light over 40 Christmas trees that have been sponsored and decorated by various businesses, including the large City of Pleasanton tree. “Merry on Main” is going to be a wonderful time for you and your family and we hope you will attend all the activities. The lighted parade on Saturday night will feature over eighty entries this year and the fireworks show to follow will be spectacular. The weather is going to be great, so come on out.

A brief note about some very special students from Pleasanton and the area who took time to wish all veterans a Happy Veterans Day recently by writing letters of thanks. A “Gold Star” to Yadhira Martinez, Gauge, Ava Alvarado, Jezzarae, Samantha Villarreal, Nayton, and Davin. You “rock” and we thank you for taking the time to write.

See you this weekend. Until then……… best regards.
