Greetings, This week and especially Wednesday, we remember the events of September 11, 2001. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I saw and heard of the four coordinated terrorist attacks for the first time that day. I was attending class at DPS Austin and remember the instructor suspending the class and large TV monitors being wheeled into the room, turned on, and sitting there watching the news events on the cowardly attacks that had occurred. I have never had that same feeling again as I did that day. Simply a helpless feeling, sitting there and knowing that there was nothing I could do. This week on Wednesday, I will attend a 9/11 remembrance ceremony from the Courthouse in Jourdanton beginning at 8:30 a.m. We will be remembering and honoring the 2,996 people killed, over 6,000 people injured and all those who have lost their lives as a result of related cancer and respiratory diseases in the months and years following the attacks. Let us take a few moments to remember and never forget all those whose lives were changed forever and continue to pray for our great country.
Until next week…….best regards.
