Greetings from the Mayor’s office: Cowboy Homecoming 2019, has now come and gone and what a success. Our thanks to Brad and Cindy Mumm and all the Chamber Directors as well as all the Turn N Burn competitors, volunteers and sponsors. And thanks to all who attended this year’s events and especially to our CH Queen and Court.
The parade is always a favorite and “hats off” to Jody and Janna Poth as well as James and Pam Henry and trainer Carly for the use of their miniature horses and covered wagon. “Pretty Boy” and “Whitey” were a joy to work with and pulled that covered wagon with style and the kids were excited to see them. And once again, thanks to David Douglas at Ranchscapes Truck and Trailer for donating the use of a trailer for the Mayor and City Council and decorated by city staff. And speaking of decorations, thanks to Cactus Ropes for furnishing the ropes for the float. And the Pleasanton Express does such a wonderful job in covering the activities and judging the parade entries.
And I must say thanks to the good Lord for the wonderful weather. The sun broke through right at 10am for the beginning of the parade and made for a beautiful day. I look forward to next year’s events and hope you do too. Until then…..have a good week and best regards.
