May elections set for Pleasanton, Poteet cities



The Cities of Pleasanton and Poteet will hold a General Election in May for council members Districts 1, 2 and 3. The first day to file for these offices is Jan. 19. The last day is Feb. 18 by 5 p.m.

Pleasanton council seats are currently held by Robert Leonhardt (Mayor Pro Tem/District 1), Kenny Hernandez (District 2) and Diana Prasifka (District 3) for three-year terms.

Applications may be filed physically at Pleasanton City Hall located at 108 Second St. or mailed to P.O. Box 209 Pleasanton, TX 78064.

Poteet council seats are currently held by Nicholas Sanchez (Place 1), Candace Cantu (Place 2) and Rick T. Flores Sr. (Mayor Pro Tem/ Place 3). These terms are for two years.

Applications may be filed physically at Poteet City Hall located at 491 Ave. H, or mailed to P.O. Box 378, Poteet, Texas 78065

Early voting will be April 25-May 3 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with extended hours of 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on April 26 and May 3.

On Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
