Mary C. Teneyuca Mauricio 99, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 in San Antonio. She was born in Lockhart on December 8, 1919 to Juan and Estella (Mitchell) Teneyuca.
She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Mauricio, parents, Juan and Estella and brothers, Joe R. Teneyuca and Juan Teneyuca, Jr.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Ana Rosa Mauricio, Ana Maria McCue (Brock) and son Samuel Mauricio Jr (Geraldine), three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mary grew up in Campbellton. She is the granddaughter of the late Henry Mitchell and the late Concepcion Tejeda Mitchell. She attended Campbellton High School up until its closing. As a Senior she transferred and graduated from Three Rivers High School. After graduation, she moved to San Antonio. She retired from her Civil Service position after working both at Kelly AFB and Ft Sam Houston. She was an active volunteer for her Parish, Our Lady of the Angels. Mary was also instrumental in organizing the Annual Henry Mitchell Family Reunion every year since it began in 1971. She was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. She loved her grandchildren, Roxanne Garza, Stephen Rocha, and Savannah Sisco and great grandchildren Alexix and Leann Ybarra. Her two treasures were her faith and family, both of which helped to serve the other.
A memorial service was held on February 9 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels in San Antonio. Delgado Funeral Home was in charge of services.
