MARY FRAZIER

 

 

Mary Alice Bryant Frazier died October 14, 2019 in Lubbock. Born in Crystal City on July 26, 1924 to Sunshine and Jim Bryant.

Childhood in Pleasanton. Scholarship snare drummer and graduate of Howard Payne University. Wartime bride of Ernest R. Frazier on June 3, 1944. Dedicated mother of three. Social worker and wife of petroleum engineer lived in Greenwood MS, Lawton OK, Austin, Kermit, Odessa, Driver Sprayberry Camp, Drumright, Electra, Wichita Falls, Tripoli Libya, Midland, Houston and Jakarta Indonesia. Retired to San Antonio 1983, moved to assisted living in Lubbock 2007. Alice was a genuine follower of Jesus Christ, and a faithful servant in Baptist churches. She was known for her spunk, her faith and encouraging words, her hospitality, and her humor. Preceded in death by husband Ernie in 2010.

Survived by twin sister Janie Tagert of Pleasanton; daughter, Carol Holmes of Lubbock; daughter Susie and husband David Dixon of Madrid, Spain; and son Jay and wife Carla Frazier of Dallas. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved their “Mamere”; Jennifer and husband Brandon Hughes of Lubbock (Hannah and Hudson); Daniel Dixon of Madrid, Spain, (Arianna, Anika, and Liam Dixon of Steenwijk, Netherlands); Jonathan and wife Brittany Holmes of Fort Worth, (Harlan, Henley, and Hollis); Joel and wife Sarah Dixon of Cambridge, England, (Abigail, Caleb, and Ezra); and Michael Frazier Dixon formerly of Madrid, Spain, currently Dallas.

Services are pending and are being handled by Mission Park Funeral Home North in San Antonio.
