Mary “Lou” Bosquez Esquivel, age 80, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family to be with her lord and savior on Monday morning April 15, 2019 in San Antonio. She was born December 3, 1938 in Christine to Setunino and Erminia Bosquez.
She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Fred Ray Esquivel for over 60 years. They were united in Holy Matrimony on October 14, 1958 in San Antonio.
Mary was also a loving and nurturing mother to her four children; sons, David Ray Esquivel of San Antonio, Arthur F. Esquivel and fiancé JoAnn Leos of Floresville, Larry J. Esquivel and wife Lisa of Christine and daughter Debbie Ann (Esquivel) and husband Freddy M. Diaz of Brentwood, Tennessee. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren, her pride and joys; sister, Carmen Miranda of Von Ormy and brothers Jr. Bosquez and wife Martha of Christine and Adan Bosquez of San Antonio, brother and sister-in-law, Jesse Esquivel and wife Ricarda of Christine and numerous nieces and nephews.
She always instilled hard working Christian values to her family and friends. Her warm, caring and compassionate demeanor will be dearly missed. A special thanks from the siblings and “Papo” for daughters-in-law Lisa Esquivel and Jo Ann Leos for all their special care and devoted attention given to our beloved “Mamo”.
Serving as Mary’s pallbearers are David Lee Esquivel, Jacob M. Esquivel, Eli J. Esquivel, Chris Trejo, Donnie Pacheco and Johnny Villarreal.
A visitation will be Friday, April 19 from 9-11 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. A funeral service will be Friday, April 19 at 11 a.m., at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pleasanton. Interment to follow services at the Christine City Cemetery.
