Martin T. Castillo Jr., 77, born on October 15, 1943, was called home on December 29, 2020. He lived a simple life. He loved his family and spending time with all his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. When he was not with them, he loved working on his plants. Martin was a deacon and loved the Lord. He retired from Wilco Peanut Company in Pleasanton, where he resided.

Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Juanita R. Castillo; daughters, Benita (Betty) Martinez and husband Pastor Mike Martinez and Corina Arce and husband Thomas Massey; grandchildren, Connie Vela, Amanda Martinez, Issac Flores, Fianca Amy Flores, Vanessa Hernandez, Tom Massey, Nicole Hernandez, Anthony Zepeda, and Joe Martin Rodriguez; greatgrandchildren, Corey Hernandez, Edward Balderas, Ava Castillo, Zechariah Martinez, Layla Rosales, Jasmine Rosales, Jericho Rosales, Izekiel Flores, Jaden Massey, Ethan Massey, Evelyn Massey, E. J. Broich, Elisha Broich, Sapphire Hernandez, Janessa Leal, Brandon Leal, Jeremaih Hernandez, and Joel Villanueva; brother, Joe Castillo and his wife Eva Castillo; sisterin law, Paula Castillo; brotherin law, Alex Fernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Martin Castillo III (Coy); his father Martin Castillo Sr.; mother, Marcella Castillo; brothers, Juan Castillo/Tina Castillo, Manuel Castillo/Sally Castillo and Antonio Castillo; and sister, Maria Fernandez.

Services for Martin were on Monday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Baptist Church, located at 535 Trade Street in Pleasanton. Interment followed at St. Andrew #1 Catholic Cemetery.
