Marta “Nena” Rivera of Pleasanton was a caring mother, wife, sister and friend. She went home to God on November 19, 2021, at the age of 57.
Marta was born in Monclovo, Coahuila Mexico on October 4, 1964. On April 1, 1989, she welcomed her son, who was the most important part of her life. She married her spouse, Manuel Sifuentes on September 14, 2012, surrounded by family and friends.
Marta is survived by her son, Jesus Amaury Lozano and wife Sabrina; spouse, Manuel Sifuentes and siblings Maria Elizabeth Rivera, Gloria Hilda Rivera, Margarita Silva and Ramon Rivera, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Reyna Rivera and Juanita Moreno Estrada and brothers Juventino Rivera and Everado Rivera.
Marta had a bright and energetic personality. She was best known for her infectious laughter. Many lives were touched by her generosity and passion for life. Marta will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 2-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Templo Emanuel Church located at 510 N. Mansfield St. in Pleasanton and officiated by Reverend Mario Aguirre on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at the Pleasanton City Cemetery.
