Margarita R. Gonzales, age 95, of Leming, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 in San Antonio. She was born in Verdi to Lazaro and Guadalupe (Robles) Rodriguez on Wednesday, September 5, 1923.
She is survived by her sons, Antonio Gonzales and wife Ophelia of Pleasanton, Raymond R. Gonzales and wife Alice of Leming, Frank R. Gonzales and wife Maggie of Pleasanton, Martin R. Gonzales and wife Mary of San Antonio, Gabino R. Gonzales Jr., and wife Dora of Pleasanton, Daniel R. Gonzales and wife Rosemary of Leming, and Joe R. Gonzales and wife Linda of San Antonio, and daughters, Erlinda Martinez of San Antonio, Celia Garza of San Antonio, and Esther Gonzales of Leming.
Margarita is also survived by her brothers, Andres Trevino, Domingo Trevino, and Amadeo Trevino all of Michigan; sisters, Juanita Martinez of San Antonio, and Maria Ybarra of San Antonio; 25 grandchildren; 42 greatgrandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabino Gonzales Sr., and mother, Guadalupe Robles Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton, from 2-9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, January 31. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, off FM 536 and IH 37 in Loire at 10 a.m., Friday, February 1. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, at the corner of FM 536 and US 281 in Leming.
