Manuel Eduardo Tijerina was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2017 at the age of 49.
He was born on February 20,1968 to parents, Amado and Herminia Tijerina. Eddie valued friendship and family. He knew no stranger and was a fearless friend to all. He cared very deeply for all his children and taught them through example what is meant to be strong.
He is survived by his mother, Herminia Tijerina; the love of his life, Belinda (Reyes) Tijerina; his three children, Cassandra Ann Tijerina, Manuel Eduardo Tijerina, Jr. and wife Ventruce and Joseph Michael Tijerina and wife Ashley; brothers, Juan Rene Tijerina and wife Norma and Francisco Amado Tijerina, Jr. and wife Crystal; sisters, Janie Winn and husband Charles, Maria Balderas and husband Emilio and Isabel Vega. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Benjamin Aaron Tijerina and Leah Bell Tijerina and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Eddie is preceded in death by his father, Amado Tijerina.
His family is deeply saddened by his loss, but will always remember him as a fearless man of few words with a heart of gold.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Friday, May 26 from 2 – 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A funeral service will also be at Hurley Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Chilipitin Cemetery in Charlotte.
