Sue Brown, editor of Pleasanton Express attended Pleasanton High School with Tommy and worked with him on many civic events during the last three decades. Brown stated, “Tommy was that kind of person who you would say broke the mold. He was a loving husband, father and son, best friend to many, community leader, public servant, rancher, successful businessman, Sunday school teacher and cutting edge innovator of an international cloud seeding program. But, on a personal level he was humorous, personable, open and honest and carried himself like an everyday son of Pleasanton, Texas. But, when he walked into a room everyone knew it and everyone was glad he was there because things would just get better.”

“When I first heard about Tommy and the cloud seeding project I thought well, he will never cease to amaze any of us,” said Brown. “The courtesy photo that the Pleasanton Express ran back in January 2010 about a film called “Owning the Clouds” featured Tommy. In that photo Tommy was looking up at the beautiful clear sunny blue skies with perfect white puffy clouds, his cowboy hat on, eyes shut, arms out to his side and palms up as if to say isn’t all this just wonderful and soaking up every last minute of it.”
