Main Street Outreach will once again open their hearts this holiday season, as they prepare their annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 28.
They would like to offer individual turkey plate dinners to anyone who would like one, free of charge. Plates will need to be picked up at St. Andrew Catholic Church Parish Hall on Market Street in Pleasanton starting at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. They will stop serving promptly at 11 a.m. This is where the food is prepared and picked up. Meals can also be delivered.
Anyone who needs a meal is asked to please contact: Sarah Paxson at (210) 415-9533. Thanksgiving meal forms can be picked up at First Baptist Church in Pleasanton. Ask for Jane. Deadline to turn in the meal forms is no later than Friday, Nov. 22.
Volunteers prepare this Thanksgiving Dinner for county residents free of charge to the elderly, low-income and homeless families.
Event organizers are looking for volunteers to help on Tuesday, Nov. 26 to help unload supplies and to move them to the church hall, and on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon to prepare the food.
On Thanksgiving Day, volunteers start preparing at 5 a.m. until they finish, which is around noon. Volunteer duties the day of Thanksgiving consist of making plates to deliver, delivery drivers, handing out plates for pick up and clean up. If anyone would like to deliver meals please contact Sarah Paxson at (210) 415-9533 or just show up on Thanksgiving morning.
