Tuesday morning, June 25, Rick Luna, with his wife, Amanda, was honored with a reception at the Courthouse. He served as a Constable, Precinct 3, for 29 years. Luna said, “I’ll take a little time off to spend with my children and grand children and relax. Relax is the key word which I am not used to doing.

Atascosa County Judge Bob Hurley presented Luna a plaque which read:

“We, County Judge Robert L. Hurley, Commissioners Mark Gillespie, Stuart Knowlton, Eliseo Perez, Kennard Riley, Atascosa County Department Heads, along with the citizens of Atascosa County appreciate the many years of service and dedication to the preservation of law and order in Atascosa County.”

“Then spend some much needed time at my tire shop which we have owned for 15 years, and continuing to reach out to my constituents about my upcoming campaign. Then in November I will hit it hard.

“Leaving the Constables office was very hard for me after dedicating my time of 29 years I will miss it dearly.
