Luna honored by Scouts

Lisa Luna was made an honorary member of Boy Scout Troop 194 Saturday evening. She was presented with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her outstanding service to youth. Lisa Luna, Living Editor, is responsible for covering community events that involve nonprofits, faith, spirituality, churches, schools, clubs, organizations and matters of special interest such as health awareness days, heroic people- both public figures and private citizens and more.

She tackles complicated community issues and recently won the prestigious “Community Journalism” award for her coverage of the protest of the Preferred Sands mine moving into Poteet.

A 1992 graduate of Pleasanton High School, Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of the Incarnate Word. Lisa has been employed with the Pleasanton Express for 20 1/2 years. She is the Pleasanton Express’ most tenured and prolific writer having won more than 40 journalism awards for excellence in writing from leading Texas Press associations.
