We are never at a loss for good places to eat with our great restaurants, but area fundraisers will be busy cooking as well. The Pleasanton Boy Scouts will have their annual barbeque chicken dinners to go this Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The drive-thru will be open 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Plates are $7. Call Mr. Fehr at 210-365-7034 or any Boy Scout for tickets. The Jourdanton Chamber of Commerce is also cooking barbeque chicken for their annual dinner this Sunday. Of course they are also having their popular auction – both live and silent. It all begins at 11 a.m. and is held at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
