American Legion Post, Pleasanton JROTC to host Veteran’s Dinner

The Atascosa County American Legion Post #436 and the Pleasanton High School JROTC students/ cadets will say “Thank You” to our area veterans at their First Annual Veterans Day program and dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 11. It will take place from 7-8:45 p.m. at the Atascosa County American Legion Post #436, located at 1404 Zanderson in Jourdanton.

The program is a family-friendly event and will be hosted by Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Priscilla Hernandez, Eagle Battalion Cadet Commander and the American Legion Post #436. The event will include the posting and retiring of our nation’s flag plus the MIA/POW flag by a seven cadet Color Guard, a POW/MIA Honor Guard ceremony, remarks by three cadets about their Boys State and Girls State experience and a dinner. Buddy Poppies will be given to all attendees.
