“For it is in giving that we receive.” — Francis of Assisi
Children and families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday tug at the heartstrings. The gift of giving during this season is at its all-time highest. Around 30 percent of annual online gifts are made in December and donors give 80 percent larger gifts on average in December.
The Pleasanton Express is compiling a comprehensive list of agencies/ organizations that assist families locally during the holidays. This page is titled “Holiday Give and Go.” This page will be available for free on our website and will be printed weekly in the newspaper plus promoted on social media. It will list all the places you can take your family for free events and highlight opportunites to give. If you have an event that needs promotion or are a non-profit or business that is helping out the needy in our community, please email Lisa Luna a firstname.lastname@example.org to be included.
